About Kerron Ennis - Scarlett: Kerron is a woman after God’s own heart. Hailing from the Patrick City Community in Jamaica, where her artistic abilities have captured the hearts of many, Kerron’s life swiftly became a living testimony. Today she does not only minister through her gift of singing, but has fully embraced her passion to encourage young People to live for Jesus. She has been blessed with the ability to attract fans from all walks of life without ever straying from the intricate roots that nurtured her award winning voice in the first place.
A former choir director at the Boulevard Church of the Nazarene, Kerron started singing in church at an early age of eight but the passion to pursue gospel music gripped her in high school. Her path into gospel music was mapped with conviction after receiving the commission from the Lord, to sing and make His praise glorious, in 2003 Kerron entered the JCDC Gospel Festival Competition where she was placed second runner-up. However, she caught the eye of prolific gospel writer/producer/musician Clifton “Johnny” Clarke. With him at the helm she recorded her debut album titled “God is by Our Side” which was launched in 2005; this propelled her onto the international Gospel Arena. God used this album to open doors for her, she was awarded the Reggae Recording of the Year at the 2006 Marlin Award in Bahamas for the title track “God is by Our Side” and Reggae Vocal Performance of the Year-Duo/Group for the song Holy Ghost Church with Dj Nicholas. In 2007 Kerron won Gospel artist of the year in the Teen Jamaica Observer Awards. Her impressive musical range and charisma have helped to transform Caribbean gospel music's more formal, traditional image and thrust her into the ranks of transcendent ambassadors of gospel music.
Kerron has travelled extensively including Europe, Canada, USA, Japan, Caribbean and Guyana. She believes that God will use her to be an inspiration to the youths of Jamaica and the world. Her powerful message of repentance, holiness and God’s love that is a refreshing change to “everyday” gospel music.
In 2012 Kerron was awarded Gospel Video of the year for her pre-release song Gods Not Done With Me yet which is one of the tracks from the Album “I’m Alive”. Kerron is blessed to be married to a supportive husband whom the Lord has used to assist her in completing her second album “I’m Alive” which contains a message to bless every listener.
